latest firmware currently shipped on PSPs?

I'd just like to know...what's the latest firmware that's currently being shipped out there on the PSPs? I just want to make sure that it's still 3.50 or below.

well... the highest firmware available on the normal psp is 3.52

My psp life: TA-079-fw1.5 -> fw2.0 -> fw2.60 -> fw 2.71 -> fw2.80 -> fw3.00 -> fw3.03 -> fw3.11 -> fw3.50 -> fw1.5 -> 3.40OE-A ->fw1.5 -> 3.03OE-C [to try out the gta cheat device] :)(got bored) -> fw1.5 ->3.40OE-A -> cfw3.52M33-4 -> cfw3.71M33-2(got unstable) -> fw1.50 -> cfw3.40oe-a -> 3.52-M33-3 -> 3.80-M33 -> 3.90-M33

okay...

the highest firmware available now is 3.52...

what I am specifically trying to state is that does Sony always ship up to date firmwares and whether you'd find 3.52 off the shelves?

i think there is a way of telling what firmware it has from the barcode (or something like that).
Or is that the motherboard?

There is a way of telling what firmware a boxed psp has, so you no which one to get. Here is a link to some infomation on this subject.

but i cant seem to find anything else on whether to tell if its got a fw higher than 2.02. I prosume that if you look at the barcode, and the letter that is there, is higher than G, then just go through the list of firmware released up to date, in letter order. but its best to do this at home or where ever 1st, so your not stood there in the shop for ages, like a loon, thinking about what firmware goes with which letter.
