Hi,
I would like to backup the games I'm going to buy, but don't want to connect my drive to my pc.
So if I have ixtreme firmware, do I need to patch the iso images that I would download of the net?
And if yes, how?

if you own the game why download?
buy a kreon flashed dvd reader from ebay and rip the ixtreme backups with it.
the cost of the drive will be around 55 us dollars including shipping and it is worth every dime!

I have a laptop, so that isn't possible. And my usb ports are dodgy, so an external enlosure is out of the question.

as far as telling you how to patch games you download, that info is all over these forums. if you search for it you will find it.
