I heard from forums that SONY has a special battery that allows access to the PSP's hard drive and let's it run memory stick files instead, of course the Memory Stick is also a special SONY Memory Stick. Is this true? Please confirm and please indicate sources (preferably: picture, video or a website that isn't a forum) Thanks

it's called a JigKick battery and a Sony MS Pro Duo.

homebrew devs and psp hackers have created one themselves now, so no long a need for Sony to unbrick any psp's and it can be used to downgrade, look in the PSP Firmware + Mod section of the forums.
