hi i was just wondering if you could use guitar hero guitars on rock band...any responses would be appreciated

I would say no since Rock Band is by Electronic Arts and Guitar Hero is by Activision.

I would say yea. they look the same, unless they pull a a$$h0le move and make it slightly different forcing you to buy a second controller.

good point, but its basically the same thing right, gh rb? I dont know the legal stuff like hamrmonix owns this red octane patented that. I'd check wikipedia and find out what companies make which games.

Harmonix is making Rock Band, but it looks like the guitar is different from Guitar Hero. If you got to The Rock Band website and look at the guitar there is no colored buttons. I believe its because it can be used either as a guitar or bass.

they have already answered the question for us. YES!! I was happy to. By the way the guitars are way way different. the rock band guitar has 5 more frets. but they only use them for solos and they made the guitar hero controller automaticaly. adjust for you.

i know the guitar hero II controllers will work with GH III, and GHIII comes out like 3 weeks b4 RB. should i wait and get the RB guitar and just ignore GHIII? and what the heck is gonna be the difference in GHII and GHIII?

the guitar hero controllers work on rock band AND Guitar hero III. and the difference is songs that are put in the game. I personally prefeer guitar Hero III more songs. Better Carreer Supposibly. Just buy the guitar hero controllers and rock band if you want to.
