You still need to make the battery and memory card on a homebrew enabled PSP, but yes, you can use it to downgrade to 1.50.
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

Thank you. That cleared up some things in my head. I kept hearing people say that you couldn't.
Thanks.

You also don't need to brick your PSP first, it will still work on functioning PSPs. That way, if it doesn't work for some reason, you don't have a bricked PSP on your hands.

As of now, it also it the only way to downgrade Official Firmware 3.51 and 3.52. Also, with this battery, we no longer reqiure UMD exploits or HEN versions or downgrade. No more copy EBOOT this and that, then run game this, then copy that. Go out and but a battery and a 512MB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Install the app and set them aside. What you now hold in your hands is a UNIVERSAL INSURANCE POLICY. You can ALWAYS downgrade the highest Firmware. In theory, even if Sony releases 3.53+, you will still be able to downgrade. I went so far as to install 3.52 M33 from 1.50 Official and then pulled the plug and popped out the battery DURING the writing to flash process. It worked. The PSP was as bricked as you can get it and it worked. P.S. I do take tooooo many risks.
There is no excuse NOT to mod! Don't follow the rules, make them!

But Sony might find a way to remove the problem with the PSP Slim. Although very hard to do, it is possible. You just completely change how the hardware works. All they have to do is find a way to prevent the battery from wiping the flash. If they can figure that out, they can get rid of the Pandora's battery way of unbricking and downgrading for the PSP Slim.

Nope, you'll need a 256MB or more (Yet under 4GB).

I have a few questions about Pandora's battery.
1. Can I downgrade my PSP with 3.51 Sony firmware using Pandora's battery?
2. Do I use the normal battery when downgrading the firmware or the new battery?
3. I have a 32MB and 4GB memory stick, so is it okay to use the 4GB memory stick or does it have to be less than that?
4. Anything else I should know?
