Hey, lurked around here for awhile but never posted/ made an account. Just need some info. I recently recieved a vista laptop and went to rip a dvd with dvdshrink and after I deleted the video_ts folder off my hard drive I was still missing about 4gb of data from where the movie was (ripped it to a partition drive) even after deleting it. I never had problems on my xp laptop. So anyone know how to get rid of the missing memory without having to reformat my comp?

If you burned the disk from within Shrink, you would perhaps have an .iso file of that size somewhere on the hard drive.

The hard drive partition is completely empty. You cant see any files or folder (I already activated "see hidden files and folders") but theres still memory missing.

empty the norton recycle bin if you haven't already because just emptying the normal recycle bin doesn't work with norton installed

right click on the recycle bin & you should see it.

It just sayings empty, and properties, etc. but nothing about norton.
