I was thinking of using my friends psp to create the battery and use it to downgrade my 3.52 psp but i still want to keep it as a normal battery. I was going to do this:
In order to convert Pandora's Battery to a normal one: Turn PSP on with Power Cable plugged in but Pandora's Battery and Memory stick out, once in the XMB but both of them in. Under GAME execute the Pandora's Battery Creator not the Firmware Installer. In the Menu, press [].( I know you have to follow a step earlier as well)
Would i be able to do this once my psp is v. 1.50 or do i have to upgrade to custom firmware first?

What you need to do, once you do into the Firmware Installer, press TRIANGLE. Whis will make a copy of your batteries EEPROM. Once you install it, it will modify the battery. Once download, power up with just the AC adapter and no MS. Then insert both. Go back in and .. i forget the button, but you want to "restore battery EEPROM from %:\EEPROM.BIN". If you get an error, 50/50 shot, then you must press SQUARE to generate a fake EEPROM code. It will work as a regular battery. However, some people are conplaining about it powering down at random intervals and some say it actually flashes their PSP again even without a MS inserted. That would be corruption in the batteries EEPROM code. You really don't want that, so back it up and hope it takes. It not, try the fake. This is why they tell you to use a SPARE and not to use if you only have one. But you can buy an upgraded battery (2100volts - 30-45 min longer each charge than standard batt) for only $40-50.
There is no excuse NOT to mod! Don't follow the rules, make them!

I changed my friends battery back to the fake one because the backup of the EEPROM code failed. It seems to be working fine. =D

Quick guide to converting your battery written by jas0nuk
If you only have one battery and want to unbrick your PSP, you can.
1) Convert your battery into a jigkick one using "Pandora's Battery Creator", but before you press X, press TRIANGLE to backup your battery's EEPROM to ms0:/eeprom.bin
2) Unbrick your PSP as normal
3) When you are done unbricking, take out the battery and the magic memory stick. Start up the PSP using the AC adaptor (do not try to use a USB charger, it will not start up)
4) Insert the magic memory stick and the magic battery
5) Run "Pandora's Battery Creator" again
6) Press L+R to restore the ms0:/eeprom.bin to your battery
NOTE: You can also restore a battery without having made a backup, by pressing SQUARE at step 6. This will generate a fake serial for your battery (0x12345678) which allows it to work normally, but there could be side-effects.
Have fun, and thanks to everyone in the Prometheus/C+D team.
Here you go!

I wouldn't trust that 1.5 it takes you down to. I recommend going to custom then using the 1.5 winstaller. Because the one it takes you down to is a sub set or something like that. :]

^^Not if you put the 1.50 eboot in the root of the "memory stick" and rename it UPDATE.PBP-it will give you a full functioning 1.50 fw when you run the unbricker... Otherwise you can just install a custom firmware over it anyway-The subset 1.50 is just enough to get you on your way to upgrading to a custom firmware...its not meant to be used exclusively by itself...
@rjhav1025-if you didnt save the eeprom from your battery when you initially created it, you may have problems trying to fake a different one...But its worth a shot-just make a new memory stick, and then run the battery creator again-and fake the serial...Thats about all you can do aside from getting a new battery to use as a normal one..

you would just transfer the file from your computer or wherever you have it via usb to the memory stick...
