hi all
i am new to psp..well before i get started with the pandora's battery aperation..how do i findout wat versiion is my psp
its a 3.52 firmware but does it matter if its m33 or (really dont know wat r the others)
how do i findout then?

3.52, that's your firmware, no M33 after it. That means it can't run homebrew, ISOs, and namely being able to make the Pandora battery.
You will need to find someone with 1.50 or a custom firmware to make the battery and memory stick for you, then you can use it on your own PSP.
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)

Well, you need a PSP with either 1.50, an OE firmware (EG: 3.03 OE-C or 3.10/3.30/3.40 OE-A) a WC firmware (3.40* LE) or a M33 firmware (3.51 M33 or 3.52 M33).
But, any PSP 3.50 and below can be downgraded with the use of the Lumines game. Or if under 2.71 you don't need to use a game to do it.
Though buying a new PSP kind of defeats the object of getting your 3.52 downgraded, unless you sell it again afterwards to make back the money.

i am very new to psp hack thing....but will sure do understand what to do exactly if i get exact details..
ok my next dumb question is:

Hey man here it is in a nut shell.
The psp you have has official sony firmware on it ie 3.52
You have to use a downgrader or exploit in order to get your firmware down to version 1.50.
Then you can upgrade to a custom firmware which will give you the OE and M33.
The pandora battery can only be made with a psp that has already been downgraded to 1.50 or upgraded with a custom firmware.
So unless you know someone with a hacked psp you can't do anything to a 3.52 psp.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

There is currently no way of downgrading official Sony 3.52 except Pandora's Battery.

Question. I was thinking how can you brick a 3.52, don't you need it bricked in order to use the pandora. You can't update it anything else right. or is there a program or app that will brick your psp?

After creating the pandora battery you can just take your working 3.52 firmware PSP, stick the battery in and downgrade to 1.5

I already said, any under 3.50, through various methods.

Well yes, but he can't make the Pandora battery unless he gets one under 3.50.

Besides GTA and Lumines you can also use the Pandora Battery Downgrader. Although you will need someone with a 1.5/Custom Firmware PSP to make the Battery/Mem. Stick combo for you.

just bought a 4 gig and a two gig stick any links to psp batteries .my two year old son chewed me 2 gig stick .i left it in the pc copying a game .bugger.he looked happy enough ,no idea what money is ..have 3.40 oe on me psp , also got proper lumines ules00043.swapped it for pursuit force .was a freebeeee with no case nothing.had to laugh. have done more than 10 of his psp at 30 quid a pop .hope he never reads afterdawn.

ok.. i have a psp#1 which was 3.03
now i downgraded to 1.5
i will make the pandora's battery for my other psp#2 which is 3.52 using psp#1
after thats done i have a few questions:
for psp#1
1.which custom firmware should i upgrade it to for best use ?
2.what will the devhook program do and what version should i install?
3.what will the emulators do and how many are available now
4.what are the contents i should have in the memory stick to run the iso(s)? and which folder should i put the iso in?
5.what will happen if someone trys to upgrade the version using wifi?
for psp#2

after knowing the anwers for all these , consider the psp chapter is closed for me and no more questions//
