Please help, i have flashed a 360 befor. it was samsug.

i have a hitachi 59dj, getting it into modeb is the problem for me since i can get it partially into modeb but windows does not detect it properly.
when i do it, log into windows screen press eject then start the command line tool with "flashix.bat G 1929" i get this error in the command box
"Hitachi drive build NOT detected!"
"WaringL One of three things could be wrong!"
"1.Check to see if your drive is in windows"
"2.Make sure you are using the right letter"
"3.Your 360 drive is not a working version"

also the drive shows up as a new cd drom with a letter G, but there is not name, dvd icon just looks same as my other cdrom devices.

can someone tell me what I can do to get windows to recognize it

This could work. Make sure when you type in the drive letter typr the ":" after the drive letter. So it will say for example; FLASHIX G: 1356 . I've flahsed about 3 different hitachi 59dj xbox 360 in the last couple days using that method. Try and see if it works

thanks for the advice, I tryed adding ":" also tryed ":\" it ran but I got the same error at the same place

a windows pops up saying: 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem

C:\ WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe - flashix g 1937
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC>NT. The System file is not suitable for running MS_DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

after i close the winodw i read the text in the cmd box saysing,
1:check to see if your drive is in windows (i am I checked in properties)
2.make sure your using the ring letter (it is G)
3.your 360 is not a working version.

but the loghts on m,y 360 still flashes and it takes 2 press' of the eject to close it. so i assume im still in mode b.
has someone else had tyhis problem and figured out how to solve it?

I figured out that my error message was cuased by a missing file.

it was never flashed befor, so no I didnt need to learnt he restore original firmware.

I guess there was a trojan that is on my PC that deletes a file dos needs to communicate with windows. I replaced the file into the c:\windows\system32\ and it flashed fine.
