I have a video game store, I have quite a collection of bricked PSP's and I make the battery and mem stick to unbrick. It works fine and the PSPs boot up but when i try to update the firmware i get this message

The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance. (DRNFFFFFFCD)

did i do something wrong? the first psp that i unbricked updated fine, the next 4 that i did did not upgrade and i got the same message.

i have no idea how any of these system got bricked, and most of them are ta-82

any input would be great, i need to try to make them work normal so they can be resold. i bought them as returns from my distributor.

The new motherboard was made so u cannot downgrade, but it was still downgraded another way, but it messed up some type of keys used in the PSP, sony knows that the PSP has been downgraded because of the messed up keys, so in the newer firmwares, they made a check for the messed up key if its messed up, it won't upgrade, however u can still install custom firmware (which can run illegal downloaded PSP iso, homebrew, emulators n crap like that, since u downgraded it to 1.50) But u cannot upgrade to official sony firmware, at least not yet. Also the newest custom firmware is 3.52 M33, which is sony's 3.52 update with the hacked ability (homebrew, pspiso), u can get the file in my sig... or at the sites u got the battery files from

Just update to a custom firmware. Are you trying to update to a official sony firmware or custom?

I was trying to put the official firmware on so if I sell it to a customer and they come out with a new update or something it can be updated.

It would be a lot more useful if it had a custom firmware on it, especially if the customer had an idea about homebrew (Worth more).

If this is a legit game store I wouldn't be selling PSP systems with CFW on them.

If you can't update to the latest official firmware then sell them to friends or family members for a cheap profit with the CFW on them.

Yea, thats true...or sell them on ebay, or if someone asks can i check what firmware is on the psp ask them if they want custom firmware. Or u could wait until someone finds a way to fix the broken keys but who knows how long thats going to take.

Yea I am trying to stay legit I was just hoping to make them stock, I dont really want to sell them with CFW on them, Ebay will be the last resort, just seeing if i can up my used psp stock :) So if anyone has any information on fixing the keys if i could get a PM or a post to this thread that would be excellent. I have a limited number of customers interested in CFW and I already modded most of their PSPs Thanks for all the help so far

You could inform your other customers of custom firmware :)

When i found out about homebrew i was willing to pay up to £30 more for a 1.50 PSP than a normal one (This was before CFW was made).

couldnt there be a way to replace ALL the flashes using USBSSS to access the flashes via USB?

you know, completlely overwrite the ENTIRE flash with a stock flash?

the keys would have to be located in a flash of a stock 1.5

so if you took the flashes, and overwrote them, then youd have a stock 1.5 right?

or would that brick the crap outta it?

or does it have something to do with the actual motherboard?

didnt the noobs team make a patch for ta-82's like they said they were???

Overwriting the whole flash shouldn't brick.

But i don't think that's the problem.
