firmware 2.81 to 1.5 downgrade

Ive done many searches for "firmware 2.81 to 1.5 downgrade." I can not find a thread to do so. The only thing I found was this message, "Sorry, There is no downgrader currently available for firmware 2.81 at the moment, so you must use the 3.03 downgrader." what does this mean? Do I have to upgrade to 3.03 then find a downgrade to 1.5, or to use the downgrade for a PSP firmware 3.03? Sorry I am new to this whole thing.

You have two choices:
1) Update to 3.03 and downgrade (NOTE: You must have GTA: Liberty City Stories in order to downgrade)
2) Update to 3.50 and downgrade (NOTE: You must have Lumines in order to downgrade).

Thanks for the info. So, how do I upgrade to 3.03 from 2.81? Then once upgraded how do I downgrade to 1.5 using GTA? Please tell me there is a tutorial on how to do this. Im sure you are sick of repeating this to all the noobs.
