Ok well I modded my Wii (3.0U) with the WiiKey. It loads originals fine but wont load a single back up I have 3.0U firmware so I downloaded this

I made both the NTSC 14 and 44 stuff

My question is if It doesent read any back ups how is it going to read those and put the firmware on it in the first place :/

Well if your Wii cannot read backups then that would not work at all.

Maybe a bad installation? Bad media?

Well the installation It woudlnt read originals or back ups one time I pulled it out and it read originals fine. Then I put it back in and its reading originals not back ups.

Now for the media issue i have now tryed Sony-R , HP -R , Lightscribable Memorex -R , Taiyo Yudens -R , Memorex -R

I dont think my Chip has software programmed in it the thing is. How do program the chip

you dont program the chip theres 1 of 2 problems here A)your install job isnt correct, get a jewlers glass and go over every point to make sure there are no shorts, otherwise B) you just have a defective chip -- oh yeah one last thing there is a small fuse near the place where you install the chip thats very sensitive allot of people have ended up burning this out by getting a soldering iron to close to it and ended up correcting it by bypassing the fuse with a wire, the info and pictures are somewhere here in afterdawn though i think that was several months ago.
