usb will not work in recovery mode

uumm well first i went to the xmb and then went to usb and it worked, then i went to the recovery menu and tried the usb and nuthin also the psp freezes, 2nd did a reboot and tried flash 0, the same nuthin and a lockup and a reboot. so i did the jigkick shit and then put back 3.40oe-a and still the same problems for he same steps iam now gonna start over agian and try agian, please any info would be nice

try the 3.52 m33 this time and see what happens if that works fine then downgrade from that using recovery nad put 3.40oe-a back on

not exactley the info i was looking for but i will keep that in mind, reason i would like to stick where iam is i have everthing done and on seprate mem sticks, but i will consider this option thankz

up'd to m3 from 3.40oe-a and now the usb in recovery along with acceing the flash will work, but i would like to know why it would not work in 3.40-a wierd, like i said it worked in the xmb on 3.40oe-a
