I have a wiikey installed and I've had it installed for about a month with no problems. This morning I turned it on and now the Wii has decided not to play my backups. My originals work, but none of my backups work. The setup wiikey disc won't load either. I opened up the Wii and all the contacts are clean and look the same as when it was installed. I looked around some forums mentioning something about voltage problems and an extra wire needing to be installed but there's no diagrams or anything else. I'm not even sure if this is the problem. I've tried formating the wii, I've tried powering it down and nothing. I use verbatim and have never had any problems. It's almost like the Wiikey decided to turn off or something. Thank you in advance for any help.

yea, the wiikey had this problem to few ppls, and i'm surprised that it still existed today. I wonder if it had anything to do with memory built in, like left over code when you played game turning off and on. You're not the only one with this problem, there are a fews in the past too.

I too would like to know a solution to this. Could taking the Wii battery out and then putting it back in help? Also, is there any way to reset the Wiikey, as maybe that may help the problems of me as well as others.

Indeed. I very much agree! One thing that I would also like to point out is that: I've posted this problem on several different forums. On those forums, almost all the previous DRE threads are from Wiikey Owners. Therefore, I wonder if this DRE problem has anything to do with the WiiKey Code? (i.e. I wonder if the problem can be reduced in a future firmware update- which hopefully should come out within a few days!)

Well hopefully they'll have an update that does fix the problem, but then again will the wii be able to read the update!?

Well something crazy happened today. I kept putting in Boogie to see if I could get my wii backup working. Finally it worked but it loaded RedSteel, and it let me play the game. I'm thinking the Wiikey must have some kind of memory problem or like you said avecmon a code problem. At least I know the installation is still good and the wiikey is working, it's just not doing it's job.
