probelm with PSX games on PSP

i don't know whats wrong but now whenever i put a psx game on my psp it just goes to the warning screen and freezes...can anyone help??

Did you download the EBOOT files or did you convery the ISO yourself? Also, what Firmware are you running and are you placing the files under GAME, GAME150, or GAMExxx?

i am running 3.40 oe-a and i downloaded the game eboot and i placed it under GAME

By default the GAME folder is running 3.40 kernal Firmware. You need to go into Recovery Mode (hard boot while holding R-Trigger) and scroll down to Configuration-> and then scroll down to Game folder homebrew. Press cross (the X button) until it says (Currently: 1.50 Kernel) next to it. Now try it again.
