How can I use a monitor rather than TV for Wii

Is there anyway to connect the Wii to a monitor using either VGA or DVI? I have a cable for my XBox360 but all the stores say there isn't a cable for the Wii.

if you're using a computer monitor that doesn't have the correct inputs then you need to go get a TV card. Cost I think about $80. Thats my suggestion. Best Buy has them.

you need a video to vga/dvi adapter. Viewsonic used to make them...its basically a powered adapter unit that lets you watch TV on a monitor. Don't expect component, but they used to sell ones with S-video and RCAs...also lets you use powered minijack speakers. The one I have has a standard vga monitor input/output.

those things are a bit harder to find nowdays. works basically like a video input switchbox -- you can switch between inputs from the computer or cable/s-video/rca/ on the fly.

i'm not endorsing these guys at all, in fact, i've never bought from them, but these are the sort of devices you need.

i believe common places like CompUSA carry the same or similar items. That's where I had bought the one I own (granted that was nearly a decade ago).

Cost me about $29.00 CDN but you may be able to find it cheaper

the price actually varies greatly since some sell it for over $70 for some reason
