I just ordered the CHAMELEON W/ adapter. Do I need the programmer to reflash the chip so that I can use my back-up games? Help is appreciated.

No you dont. You can flash your chip with a bios CD. Look on www.xbox-scene.com in the Tutorials in the begginers section. You should find enough informations to get you started! http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php?t=1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0

You might also want to look at the homepage of the chameleon at www.xodus-chip.com to read the owner manual of the chip. It is well explained how-to flash your chip.
