HOW CAN I UPDATE MY WII FIRMWARE?(BEGINNER)

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE

I AM A BEGINNER AND I HAVE A JAPANESE NTSC WII AND I THINK IT WAS SEMI - BRICKED BY ONE OF THE GAMES I HAVE (PROBABLY MARIO STRIKERS)

I DONT KNOW WHAT'S MY FIRMWARE BECAUSE WHEN I ENTER THE SETTINGS , A WHITE SCREEN APPEARS SAYING THAT I HAD ACCESSED THE INTERNET.

I HEARD THAT I CAN FIX IT BY UPDATING IT USING BIG BRAIN ACADEMY

BUT HOW CAN I UPDATE IT USING BIG BRAIN ACADEMY?

IS IT BY RUNNING THE GAME ITSELF??

PLEASE HELP

What game specifically was it? If it was Mario Strikers is that the PAL or NTSC(U) version that bricked your Wii?

It all depends on what firmware was on the game that semi-bricked your NTSC(J) Wii.

If the game disc had a 2.1 firmware on it then you should be able to use a NTSC(J) Game disc with 2.2J firmware on it to unbrick it.

If the firmware was a 2.2 firmware then you will need to wait till a Game Disc is released that has a 3.0J firmware on it.

and yes you can only update via Game Disc if your Wii settings have been bricked.

Don't make the brick worse by trying to use a PAL or NTSC(U) Game disc to unbrick your Wii system. Make sure you only use a NTSC(J) Wii game disc.

Go HERE to help protect your Wii from being bricked/semi-bricked again after you get this issue resolved.

I think that the pal game wario ware had semi - bricked my wii ,

so what should i do exactly now?

please guide me listing the steps>

You should find a NTSC(J) game disc with 2.2J firmware on it and update with it. If it didn't correct the semi-brick issue then you will need to wait till a NTSC(J) disc is released with the 3.0J firmware on it and use that to update with.
