I found this today....

I guess it will only be a matter of time before they start cracking down on the other public torrent tracker sites also....Looks like you kids are going to have to start buying your games again!

There are 100s of torrent sites out there. If 1 goes down 3 more pop up. TorrentSpy was a public tracker anyway and I am not surprised that they are shutting down.

This happened to thepiratebay a while back but they are up and running again.

So no need to worry. Torrent sites will be around and strong for years to come.

I can get to torrentspy in canada, and I know it said US only but hey. Anyway, Torrent Spy are sellouts any way, scrapetorrent for searching ftw, and btjunkie ftw.

Everything's lax in Canada :) They'll never stop us from doing 'bad' things, they're too busy with the elections :P

I don't know about all that, but I DO know there will always be Rapidshare. Since their servers are somewhere in like Switzerland, I believe they have immunity to the laws. :D YAY!

Torrentspy sucked anyway I couldn't go on torrentspy for 2 minutes without my mom screaming that I was looking at porno... The Pirate Bay and Demonoid are the only 2 sites I use and they're the only one's you need Torrentspy's content was weak compared to those two.

I agree...I have always had better luck with the other ones anyway...I use scrapetorrent and torrentpond, even though they just search the major sites like btjunkie and the piratebay...I get the best results from the others...Although I would rather use the private trackers like demonoid and black-cats, but they are impossible to get registered on those sites-I've been trying for ages!

my friend bought one at his house because i promised to invite him... only to be let down when we found out I had no more invitations... luckily it worked, plus it was only like 5 bucks.

If your thinking about buying one on ebay READ THIS:

When you log on your Demonoid account and go to the control panel... it says this:

If you paid for your account or invitation, let us know by clicking here, and ask the seller for a refund. We'll give you an invitation code so you can create a new account
All sold accounts end up banned sooner or later.

DO NOT CLICK THIS it sounds enticing but you'll never get your money back and you'll never get an invitation code you'll be out 5 bucks and a Demonoid account.
