with Shrinkit, I get to 18 seconds of reading it and it freezes up and bombs

can someone explain either situation and how to fix it?

Hi, I had the same prob also. backed it up with DVDFabHDDecrypter newest version. get it at dvdfab. goto home page lower right free stuff, dbl click and download latest version. Use it and enjoy.BTW I think this uses a new CORE X2 encryption.

Well, I change dthe name of the folder (Took out the < > )

then when Shrink kicked in, it gives an error stating that Shrink couldnt find the VTS_08__6.VOB file

does that mean that Fixit4me didnt create the correct file?

Opus54,
Rip the DVD again as Ripit4Me has no problem doing this movie once you remove the brackets(< >). You did use the 1 click method.

get rid of the < > surrounding the "C" drive path of the movie using riptit4me. Afterwards I would suggest using "Roxio" to compress it on to 4.7gb disk. at this point, clone dvd, nor anydvd works at this point in time. good luck

DVDShrink 3.2.0.15 creates a new file by transcoding your origional file to 4464Mb. In the options section u can get more juice fron it by setting it to 4477Mb. Set output to hard disc folder and burn reguarly with eg Nero, or set output to iso and burn with imgburn For DL mode, open imgburn, in the mode box and check build, imgburn can convert whole file into iso. Then burn the file with imgburn in write mode. Don't forget 2 check layer break point with imgburn. Better yet goto imgburn home page and get tutorial, that's how I learned to use it. Good luck

I never used shrink to burn a movie to a dvd..
Using dvd shrink
Just open disc or file from werever dvdfav saved it on your drive
and use backup and I prefer to put it on C drive as an ISO file.
U can also save it as a dvd file.

I agree, I never use shrink to burn, I use imgburn for that--and it(imgburn) works well--and is free!

As per their website they are both the same program except the free version is a veeeeery simplified version (read the pay for one is a mercedes and the free one is a vw-- but hey the vw still gets u there in relative comfort)
