Is this PSP bricked?

Hello

Just been donated a probable bricked psp by a friend. Just wanted to confirm it has been bricked before i go to the effort of getting a pandora battery. It a IC1003 on the motherboard. When you turn it on the green power light comes on, and so does the backlight but no image or sound. Also, holding the power button to turn the psp off doesnt work, i have to take the batter out.

is this the symptoms for a bricked PSP or something else?

yep, thats a bricked psp alright
actually the the psp shuts down holding the power button but u have to wait about 20 sec
