Outlook 2003 Won't Check For New Mail

I have the full version of Outlook 2003 and it won't check for new messages on it's own. I have to press the send/receive button to get my mail. I want it to check for new messages every few minutes when Outlook is open. I know that this must be an easy fix, but I just can't figure it out.

Click Tools, click options, then click the mail delivery tab. Make sure the box is checked that says check for new messages every __ min. Here you can change how often you want it to check for new mail messages.
