Somethings wrong with my swap magic when i switch cds nothing happns, please help

You have to give a LOT more info than that if you want help.

Has it ever worked?
What do you mean nothing happens? Are you hitting X?
How are you switching cds (fliptop/slide card/magic keys/etc)?
What game?
What brand discs are you using?

it always worked, i hit x the screen says booting disk in drive then the screen turns red and says to put a playstation or ps2 disk in
