Heres my problem: I have WMP 11.0.5721.5145 that needs some/an audio codec(s) to play songs downloaded from SpiralFrog. Now to get those codecs, I need to just reinstall the program because good ol' microsoft doesn't have a download for just codecs... that are "compatible" with anything higher than windows 2000 anyways. Anything higher and you have to reinstall the player to get the latest codecs. Now I don't want to update past 11.0.6000.6324 because I will lose my ability to use fairuse4wm. Also, I don't know what the version on the microsoft download site is and I don't feel like installing it only to find out it's a later version. So what I need is an installation file for a version of WMP from 11.0.5721.5145 (provided microsoft allowed reinstallation of the same version) to 11.0.6000.6324. Anyone have a link or know where I can get that? Or, has anyone had this problem and has something I can install to add the codec needed by the SpiralFrog tracks? Thanks in advance.
EDIT- Maybe I should state in advance, please don't give me a link to the microsoft download site for windows media player 11 unless you KNOW for a fact that it is not higher than 11.0.6000.6324. Also, Don't give me a link to anything lower because I can't just install WMP10 or 9 because it won't allow you to install anything older.
Also, I have tried this thing here towards the bottom of the page that says downgrading from final to 11.0.5705.5043 with no luck. I have been around and around looking for this stupid file.
EDIT again- Wow, how ironic. After posting this, the "windows media player" text was parsed as a link to the download for exactly that. Guess problem solved. Sorry for the post.
