i am looking to buy a modchip today. Cant decide between the xbit or the chamelon. Which one is better and which one is easier i am a total newb at this. thanks

I think you should buy a Xecuter 2.2 pro. Because i got one. they work great. but if you are looking for a modchip that holds a lot of space i would get the XBIT. IT holds 2mb and the Xecuter holds 1mb. But with the Charmeleon you can only flash the bios with CDs. The XBIT and Xecuters they both come with external programmer so you can flash the chip with your computer.

Not entirely true... you can flash the Chameleon thru the menu in Evox. You can flip switches and split the memory in sections so you can have different BIOSs and boot from a particular one. An external programmer can be used to flash the BIOS on the Chameleon as well.
