Hi,

I was trying to burn some games for the xbox360 but it won't work.
I read all the treads about burning, but still it won't go the good way.
The first game I wanted to burn was Moto Gp 07 and that went off good, so I am still playing it. Butt then I received Bioshock, and then the trouble started. I do what the tutorial say but the burning just stops at 52%. So I wasted 3 DvD+R DL on that. So I thought it was the game that didn't go the right way, now I received Stuntman Ignition but didn't go right eigther. So I saved the burning log maybe someone else knows what the problem is.

Looks like as soon as it gets to layer 2 (Layer 1) it fails. Is your layer break set in Imgburn?

Also, it looks like you never updated the firmware for your Phillips. The latest is P3.4... and that came out in '05. It's always good to keep your burners firmware up to date.

1. what dvd's are you using?

2.If your using verbatim dl dvd's try slysoft's clone cd. Ive made 30+ backups so far without a single coaster. There's a free 30 day trial so a test does not even cost you. It loads the layer break for you. And you'll be supporting a great company.

I'm using Mediarange DVD+R DL 2,4x

and I even tried with CloneCD, the worst off all is that I burned my first game without a problem. Not knowing what layerbreak even was.
And now I read about it and it still won't work.

Good media is first off better for your xbox dvd drive, wont do as much trackign and will last longer. Go try some verbs

I will order Verbatim DL's but will that fix the problem?
I'm afraid that the problem lies somewhere else, and sinds I
updated the firware of my Philips he's making a strange noise when
I try to burn something. The layerbreak was set by the .dvd file at 1913760 so that must be correct. When I manually set the layerbreak the
writing stops at 12%, this is my 7th DL that I ruined.

You got too many variables to pinpoint what may be the problem.

That Philips is an older burner. The older dl burners really don't burn dl's well. If you're using the same burning process for all the backups and some work while others don't, it may be due to bad burning.

That media you're using doesn't look to be any good. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia?dvdmed...h+or+List+Media When cheap quality media is used, quite often you'll get some discs which will play and some which won't. And combining this with an old burner just amplifies the problems.

If you're using Imgburn, you have to set the layer break to 1913760 yourself. Set it in "Tools -> Settings -> Write". You did mention you tried Clone CD but didn't mention if you used the .dvd file. Also, older versions of CCD won't burn dl's.

Thnx for you're reply !

I used CloneCD with the .dvd file and still it doesn't work.

Now I see that it is a big mix of everything, you need much to get a good result. I'm thinking just to try verbatim disk's and see what happens then. If that fails I'll get myself a Pioneer and hope that it will work.

Almo
