hey i've just got a new Xbox 360 Elite and its great but i only got 1 control so when my mate wanted to play i went and got my 360 controllers off my old 360 (which had broke because of the 3 red lights)but when i turned them on they just kept flashing and did'nt work on the 360 Elite but worked on my mates 360,can anyone help me!

You have to synch the controller with the xbox.
Boot the controller and the 360 up. There is a little button on the top of the controller right next to the left bumper it should have a marking similiar to this [<<<] next to it. hold that until the rings are flashing around & around the controller button. While its doing that goto your 360 on the front face plate just below the memory unit b door and you will see a small button with similar marking below it [<<<] hold that until the rings are flashing around the 360's power button. This will synch the 360 to the controller.
