I was wondering what the 1.2 Setup Disc is for (Released on wiikey.cn) because i got my wii modded before i bought it. Is it to set up the wii key when you first install it? I also read somewhere that the v1.2 supports the firmware 3.0?

Can anyone enlighten me about the wii key setup discs?

Hmmmmm let's see....Wiikey setup disc.....it's for the Wiikey.....it says setup...yeaaaaaaah....

It's to turn region override on and to change drive speed- which I recommend you not to mess with.

And there's a modified version out there that can be booted up with 3.0 Wiis. The one in the Wiikey site cannot be booted up directly without using GCOS.

So you mean that i don't have to worry about it because its already been configured (since i am still on 2.2 J). If i were to switch to 3.0 J then do i have to reconfigure my wii again with the v1.2 wiikey setup disc or is it all good already?
