I hate these damn people that get games before their released(download),it pisses me off

on teamxbox forums - some users got strangehold thru best buy earlier today, so it looks like another broken street date again so check your BB for your copy if available.
for the update - i have no idea what it would be for.

i have the game as well, but my xbox360 is up to date, but its a banned console, but i have another one unmodded.
i put this one on my banned console and its asking me to update though.

Mine asked me to update also, and if you dont update the game wont play. I dont think this 360 has been on live though. Spring update maybe

Anyone else heard of this game actually breaking 360's?
Have already updated mine once for one of the games to run with no prob.BTW my 360 was Mfg Jan-07.This UPDATE that must be applied to run this game just seems strange to me.I'm not/never have been on LIVE!
Please any input/Info Appreciated & Thanks in Advance.

flashed and it asked for an update cause i got it before it was released in stores. but everything went fine.

I'm not a fool you foolish sun of a gun...It did brake my xbox360 with hitachi 0078 flashed with isotool after the update. As to why it didn't brake yours or someone else, I don't know but I just know that mine was fine and after the update it messed it up.
So don't be criticizing other people before you know the facts...

If Stranglehold breaks 360's it would have been at the least patched and at the most recalled. Those are the facts. And you'd be reading about it all over the web. There's nothing wrong with the game... it's just your 360.
Comments like "don't play this game... it'll break your 360" seem to pop up with every big game release.
It happened with Saints Row.
It happened with Dead Rising.
It happened with Gears of War.
It happened with Forza 2.
It happened with Bioshock.
I've been playing Stranglehold for a few levels and there's nothing wrong with it. I'm not saying that you're lying and your 360 isn't broke. I'm just saying it's not the game's fault.

Well i have had my 360 back from the shop and its overheated , It was a Coincidence that it happened just as i was running stranglehold and it was updating but i suppose things happen , I was asured that it was a over heat problem and i have had the mod done to it , It seems ok now so all is good , Cost me £75.00 though , My machine was banned from live so i did not want to take the chance of returning it, I have been told this mod sorts the problem out but we will see.....

Well, I've played it, and completed it on a flashed drive, with no red lights, no broken 360 etc. I must admit it does sound as though your 360 was about ready to go, and stranglehold just happened to be the game in your drive when it went. could of been any game, or even a DVD that y ou were watching.....prob just a coincidence, but fingers crossed it will be fixed for you now :)

I have a modded box,and it asked me to update and it worked grand,its a brutal game though, such a max payne rip off. Cant believe they didnt include any kung fu in it at all, u can be two feet away from ur enemy and u still have to shoot him rather than giving him a swift kick in the knackers.

I agree... I was hoping it would of had a little "Jet Li - Rise to Honor" fighting mixed in. Would have been a great game then.

Well I guess so.. I was the unlucky sun of a bitch who got wacked....lol
But seriously, the 360 broke immediately after the update. Well I guess that's what you get for downloading games..
