Hi,
I recently downgraded my lil nephews psp to v1.50, hes been pestering me for ages, so i've read some guides and bought him a copy of lumines and done it, trouble is now, i have some psp iso's and i'm having trouble loading them up.

I have tried using fastloader v0.7 and UMDemulator V0.8, these both boot up fine to the config menu, now when i select the iso to play the screen goes black and nothing happens. I have a umd in the drive when loading up the emulators.

Do i have to change the config settings within the emulator program for it to work?

Also the demo iso with fastloader works fine.

With Umdemulator (loading tomb raider legend) i use the system menu thing so it takes me back to the psp menu. when i hover over UMD where it brings up the background for the game and lil vid etc it comes up with tomb raider with the sound lil vid and background and when i click play it goes black then comes up with 'This game cannot be started'(FFFFFED3)

When i use Directload on UMDemulator i select the iso to load and it just freezes on the UMD emulator menu :\

Argh.. now when loading Lumines up (actual UMD not ISO), gets to the main menu where it asks you to press start, i press start and the screen goes red and freezes. Happens when i try and play a umd normally and also when i try to load via fastloader.

This is the first time i've done this so feel free to laugh at me if im missing something obvious haha.

Any help of what to do next, or starting again or anything will be appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

Just tried loading transformers iso, and the same thing, could not start game with the same error code. Again when hovering over the UMD the background changes etc.

Thanks

Try downloading PSP Video 9 and converting them with that.

here you go dan
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/460892
use that to upgrade your firmware to custom firmware the reason you cant play your iso's is that they need newer firmwares to play.
the link above is an easy installer for the latest one just follow the instructions and you will be ok

Thanks for your help guys,
Glen - With the custom firmware now installed it finds the video, thanks.

Steveo - Thanks for Saying what i needed to do, and thanks to Sicdude for telling me :D

Had to re-load fastloader back onto the psp as it was coming up as corrupt data, did that now tomb raider works fine, i dont even need to open fastloader.. it just loads by itself!

But! Transformers is still not work error code 80020148, been reading some other threads about this code and people are saying diff things, but generally suggesting to run firmware 3.52 M33, im running cfw 3.03 OE-c atm. Will i have to revert back to 1.50, then onto 3.52 M33 or can i just install 'over' the current firmware i have.

Thanks

Dan

Does anyone know why fastloader does not load on this custom firmware (M33 3.52)? The same thing happens with me; it just shows as corrupt data.

Yep you dont need it, m33 has one already built in, i thought it was loading by itself, then i realised it wasnt, so i deleted fastloader off the psp.

Yes, I need it. You guys are forgetting the whole other side of Fastloader. The ability to dump UMDs to your memory stick. M33 3.52 cfw cannot do this, can it?

Fastloader is still outdated, mainly people use USBSSS, but to answer your question:

3.52 M33-4 has the ability to dump UMDs built into the firmware.

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

yeah if you put 3.52m33 update 4 on your psp you can dump the umd to your pc via usb including umd video

Great! thanks guys for replying. I got a question about the updates for m33. Are they accumulative builds, or they all just separate updates?
Thanks.
