I have a starview box which has gone off does anyone now the new codes/keys for telewest?

Probably a fault in your area as codes have not changed give it time it will come back.

I Have also pressed the set default key by accident would that effect my box?

Yes it would if you have not got autoroll firmware on the box you will lose the codes. Press menu and system info and tell me what it says.

it says API ver :2.57e_E ,Boot ver :7.0, 16 Aug 2006. That everything that comes up.

You need to upgrade your firmware, but to get you up and running for now input these codes manually:

00: AB 1E 05 EB C6 65 46 77
01: 51 6D 0F 08 41 BB D5 D8

Click the link at the end of my post entitled SV EV info, then click keys this will give you a step by step guide on the manual inputtting of codes.
