According to a piece I saw on G4, they are indeed moving Metal Gear to XBox -- when, I know not! I think it's the smart move as XBox games enjoy a longer run in terms of play and fan-life.

What about MGS3? Are they going to do a Substance/Subsistence style game of it for Xbox? I think it's really WAY too late to worry about it, but...

Sorry to disappoint but Konami said that the Metal Gear series 'belonged to Playstation' so its a ps3 exclusive, it was on the director video review for ps3 as well
