I just changed over to 3.52 m33-4. i've heard that custom firmware will unlock the cpu so games run a bit smoother. is this true, and does the m33 firmware do this automatically, or do i have to download some kind of homebrew app that will unlock it?

You can change the CPU speed for UMD/ISO under the recovery menu.

Hold R shoulder button down when starting your PSP. You will boot into recovery menu. If you don't see the menu then hit the brightness button.

Now go to CPU SPEED to set it.

i believe u could access it via the VSH menu too

on ur xmb, just press home and u can see something appear on the foreground. thats where u change ur CPU/ISO speed
