ispy,

I have disabled all running processes including Norton Internet Security/Anti Virus. Same result. Since it always occurs at the same exact place (very end of the read)and happens with three different burners I have to suspect a copy protection scheme. I think DVDXcopy 3.2.1 writes a bad file at the very end of the copy it writes. I think my copy programs are unable to read past that point, give up and abort.

You are sure right about Roxio. I installed Roxio Easy Media Creator 7. It totally trashed my system. I think it rewrote every DVD and CD driver on my system. It killed Nero, DVDXcopy Express, DVD Now, Sonic My DVD, DVD Complete etc etc. Reading the problem files it seems to boil down that it is not recommended you have any other DVD programs installed. It conflicts with everything and destroys their drivers with it's own. It made a mess! I had to do a complete system restore to get rid of it and the damage it created.I now have a totally useless $80 program.

321.com
look there for link, has complete blacklist, programmes that interfere with xpress, also look at what kind of medium you are using,as 321software is picky about this as well.
nero shouldn't be a problem, just as long as you don't had in cd installed with it, you can have dvd decryptor,CloneDVD & any dvd installed, also dvdshrink, don't use the burning software that came with your burner, especially if it;s sonic,my dvd, etc.
also you MUST have the latest ASPI drivers installed, from memory the latest version is 4.7.2
just go to any dvd soft ware site, they have links,or you could try www.adaptec.com

Does anyone know why i cannot use DVD X Copy Xpress to copy a movie I already copied with Dvd X Copy Xpress?

I am using version 3.2.1 and 321gone .63 to remove the disclaimer.

xpress is primarily designed for backing up originals,in answer to your question,i don't know why, maybe it's something to do with the watermark,i dunno,i always use decryptor to re-burn copies.also maybe the removal of the disclaimer might have something to do with it(321 gone removal tool)
the whole movie (disc is supposedley watermarked) not just the 321 dvd x back up screen,so by removing the dvd backup screen is only for cosmetic purposes.

I just thought I'd say, 321gone has worked on the 'Platinum' copier for me easily, not just on the Xpress within platinum.

When using 321Gone!! in the Platinum mode, are you saying that you're able to remove the intro screen when copying the FULL MOVIE contents or just when you copy the MOVIE only?

I used this little program but when it defaulted to the original back up folder it failed, so I made a folder and pointed it to it worked a dream. Thanks very much for your efforts

321 Gone works great. My problem started when I discovered that the logo would not let the DVD play in my mobile player. 321 worked on every new copy, however, how to remove the logo from copies already made and burned.

Here's how.
1.Use decriptor to rip your already copied DVD onto the hard drive.
2. Change settings on DVD Xcopy to put the temp files in a folder that you can easily find.
3.Use Xcopy, I use Platinum, to copy any DVD, it doesn't matter which original you choose, the shorter the better.
4.When Xcopy notifies you to insert an blank DVD disk, don't. Erase all the Video files that Xcopy placed in the Xcopy temp directory, use Windows explorer to substitute the Video files that you previously saved on the hard drive. In other words copy them into the Xcopy temp video directory.
5.Run 321 gone as instructed.
6.Put a blank disk in your writer, let DVD Xcopy finish.

Xcopy has no idea that it burned a substitute movie, and the logo will be gone. Takes some time, but, the DVD movies now work in the Car DVD player.

Good Luck

rip the movie only with DVD Decrypter , then shrink with DVD2One the output is much better than dvd x express, also you do not get the annoying warning screen from 321 studios.
also DVD Shrink is a more than a match for dvd x express.
forget the silly removal tool for dvd x express , its not worth the hassle lads.
iff anyone thinks dvd x express is a better prog than DVD Shrink , DVD Decrypter or DVD2One then im afraid its time to pack it in

Help. I'm new to copying and am using XCopy Platinum (simple mode). After a disc has been read, I click on the 321 Gone file and the button comes up. When I click it, it disapears but no message pops up to say "Intro Removed". I have checked for conflicting programs and removed "INCD" and disabled Norton during the copy process. I even tried copying the file to the same directory as the "ifo" file. If I continue and burn, the 321 logo is still there.
Any advice will be appreciated. Using XP-Home, P4-2.4, NEC ND-1100A burner.

even though this forum isn't about what program is best,i just had to have my say, xcopy xpress has much better compression than any of the available dvd 1:1 programs, followed by clonedvd, why remove something when you don't have to...I.E dvd9 to fit on 1 disc, even though it's not hard i know, just a few clicks here and there with dvdshrink, but why bother with a few clicks when you can do it with one :) and with nothing ripped out of it,just to make it fit.whats the use of having a back up that doesn't have everything your original has, like interactive games on some discs,my kids like playing them....in many cases thats what you have to rip out along with a few subtitles and some audio channels

You guys are right. DVD Shrink obviously does the whole thing, it rips an original DVD, bypasses the copy protection, and plants the copied files in a directory on your hard drive. Then you use the same Shrink program to burn a disk in compressed format.
The process takes some time, so, it's comparable to the time it takes to use alternative methods when ripping an original DVD.

In my case, I made copies of every DVD movie that I bought using Xcopy. I then put them in storage. It was a bummer to think that I could not play my copies in my mobil DVD player, therefor, I had to think of a quick and dirty way to remove the troublesome logo.

You guys gave some good advice as long as you were ripping the original movie, however, you might have forgot, that I was trying to modify already burned DVD copies. Those already copied DVDs contained the 321 Logo and I hated to think that my honest effort rendered them unable to be played in certain mobil players.

Any advise is well taken and appreciated.

Do you realize we haven't heard from PsiDOC since 2/28? Any updates on the multi-language problem? Anything I can do to assist? I'm not a programmer, but I'd be happy to test, examine files, whatever.
