image lag on burned dvd

So after making 10 or so DVDs that don't have sound, or even play, I finally made one that has audio and video successfully and which plays well in my dvd player.

However, the image has a bit of a lag to it. Every few seconds the screen stops for just a moment throughout the entire movie.

I used DVD flick and then imgburn.

How do I elimiate this lag? The DVD is otherwise perfectly good.

Use quality media, reasonable burn speeds and an up to date burner firmware for starters.
