Help - What is the proper usage of DVDLoader v7?

Can DVDLoader be used to help you load the CD version of ulaunch ELF v4.12?

I don't have the Swap Magic CD at the moment, so I decided to try out this DVDLoader v7 that I had burnt to DVD-r.

Used Swap magic to boot dvdloader, but when I use the slide card and insert the CD based ulaunch disc, the dvdloader program says invalid disc or something along those lines.

What is the main purpose/usage of DVD loader? I thought it can help you load CD-based games/programs when you don't have the swap magic CD?
