I have a two part(VCD 2 parts) movie and I don't want to merge/join it (it's a vcd)since it will go all outta sync after the join point...Anyways I was told I could take them and place them one after the other and they will be able to play flawlessly like it was one continuous video? Is this the answer or the right way to go about this? I have ULEAD DVD STUDIO and it has an option to "play movie as first clip" or something like that...either way I was pondering if any of u intelligent gurus have any insight.Oh yeah I was also wondering if there would any kind of notable pause too?

Yes, you are correct..I just got a 2 part AVI which i encoded as 2 mpeg2 files and just dropped them into dvd studio one after the other.there is no pause it plays straight through..Making menu's can be confusing though because you have to make one for each file, if you know what i mean (i never bothered)
