Here is how you can use a 32MB Memory Stick Pro Duo for the Pandora's Battery:
- connect your PSP to USB
- run cmd.exe (Start -> Run -> cmd)
- type 'format e: /FS:FAT' (E is your PSP drive letter!)
That way the Stick gets formatted with FAT16 (instead of FAT12, which doesn't work). After that, you may continue the normal procedure (mspformat, msinst etc.) an that 32MB Stick!
Cool, eh? Everyone has such a 32MB stick lying around. Now you can use it for the Pandora battery!

the one that comes with a psp is not a pro duo, just a memorystick duo, and thus will not work.

The one, that was included with my PSP is a Sandisk PRO Duo 32MB (I bought it from Japan).
And it's working with that, I tried it!
Are you sure that others had not PRO Duo included?

Sure here is the image:

Unfortunately I have no "non PRO" stick, otherwise I would give it a try. If someone doesn't need his anymore, I would pay 5$ by PayPal for it...

It looks like it should work with the standard stick as well. Someone in a german forum said, it worked for him with such a stick (after formatting FAT16):

I guess that these are the sticks which are normally included with the PSP. I have no idea why I got a Sandisk.
Anyway, seems like we have good news.

it looks photoshopped to me, but okay.
there is no Pro Duo in a 32MB. from either sandisk or sony, and sandisk doesn't make a 32MB MS Pro Duo or Duo.
if they do, they don't give any indication via any of there stores.
*i have to call BS on this* plus the resolution on the 32MB portion on his card up there is too clear compared to the other text, :-)

u mean the regular Memory Stick Duo, not Pro Duo. according to literature the Pro Duo doesn't start till atleast 128 or 256MB. so why would they have a Pro Duo 32MB?
if i'm wrong and u can provide a link to a reliable source talking about or selling Pro Duo 32MB please do.

I am a reliable source of information. And I put an image of my stick. Why should there be doubt of the truth? Are you calling me a lier?
B.t.w. Pandora is also working with the 32MB "non PRO" sticks, as stated earlier!

the people that released it say no.
has to be PRO DUO
not just MS Duo.
it may work, it may not. risk it if u want.
~~Rodge71 - you are not a reliable source of info, your still a 'newbie' here, and btw it's spelled liar. if it does work by formating to fat16 instead of fat32 great....but i'd like to see more supporting facts to things before i believe them.

Also, there's far too many Pandora threads, gonna have to start a cleanup and closedown. There's a sticky here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/552549
