Hey I'm pretty new to this DVD ripping thing. I have done a few but Blades of Glory won't work. I dont really know all the technical terms so please dont blow me away guys. When I start DVD shrink it only gets about 39 to 40 % of the way through the analysing stage. Then it says error Failed to read file D:\ data error cyclic redundancy check. My question is is this problem with the dvd or my decryption or what? It works fine on my tv dvd player and i just burned some other recent movies and Blades isn't scrtched or anything that i can see. Heres my other problem. I have tried to find DVDdecryptor but I can't find it anywhere. I have tried to find a way to force the decryption and what not but nothing I have tried has worked thus far. I also tried imgburn but that gave me an error message as well. Like I said i have only ripped 3 dvds and i am not sure what to do. Please in Laymans terms what do I do.

Shrink is most likely producing the error because of copy protection it can't decrypt. Try using DVDFab decrypter to rip with, then use shrink to finish with.

DVDFab

Most likely a copy protection error. At last check, AnyDVD hasn't updated to work on this movie...at least it didn't work for me. What did work was DVDFab HD Decrypter, which you can find here: http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm.
Rip with DVDFab Decrypter, then use either IMGburn or DVD Shrink 3.2 to burn. Should work fine.

Hey I know how to do it now. You can rip it with DVDFAB HD decryptor and then shrink it with DVD shrink then burn it with your choice of burning software. This is the help I got from looking in the other Blades of glory thread. Sorry for this ignorant post of a blind man. Just look for rammsteins guide in page 5 or 6 of the other blades of glory thread it will tell you exactly how to do it without a single headache thanks
