my psp wont read discs.on one of the posts it said push the laser towards the disc spinner,which i did.but when i put the umd in it was
still not working and the laser had moved back by its self...
any help is appreaciated

my dad cleaned the laser with a cotton bud and it worked.then i turned the psp off and it was broken again

If its not under warrenty take it apart and if your luky you will have a non soldered laser ribbon cable from the Mobo to the laser unite replace this first if that dosnt solve your problem a new lazer may be needed.


S.N. the reason i said this is because it sounds like the ribbon has busted traces and when you father cleaned the lens he had to move the lazer to the Out side of the umd door to get to the lazer.

on more thing is it custom firmware if it is try disabeling Devhook in the psp advance recover options Both dArk ALeX's And M33's custom firmware have these options.

when ever i turn my psp off and on again,something else is wrong. now the laser isnt moving in and out,(the laser still lights up though).

my opinion is downgrade with the jigkick to 1.5 > M33 and use no umd mode.
that`s all what you have to do to play games anymore
cause the m33 no-umd driver give you the chance to play without insertet umd from the memorystick

if you have qustions about jigkick and who can solve this problem for you(i you can`t solve this issue by yourself)
