Xbox live offline on the 10th sep

I just got a message from xbox saying that live will be unavailable on the 10th for four hours dor updates!!!!!!!!!! Is this the fall update ? Are they actacking again ?

I got the message also and considering Halo 3 is out Sept. 25 [in NA at least] I think they are going to start banning mofos.

they're probly trying to get modders again while incorporating some minor dashboard fixes or w/e.

Never know, What they may end up doing is implementing a system to find out who all has a hacked firmware and not banning anyone for 1 or two months for it. Everyone may start telling everyone that the water is safe and more hacked boxes log in and then one day.....Mass banning...Prolly happen on a sunday. We may call it black sunday even. I'm just speculating. Yeah sure hope all goes well though. What I would hate the most is to have to rebackup all my games again for a new firmware. What is left for them to check anyways? The location of the security on the disc telling them its not on the center ring anymore? who knows...

Im flashing back to original firmware when I get Halo 3,no way in hell im going to miss multiplayer online

I'm not here supporting or promoting piracy, but there's no way I believe that to be true. Also I am curious to see if ixtreme and stealth stands up to the test.

i think ixtreme will hold it's defense
anyway, server is getting maintained/upgraded most likely, to handle Halo 3 traffic.
server downtime, doesn't necessarily mean they have something up their sleeve...

well, like everything else only time will tell. No use getting yourself upset about it because as always you have only two choices. Either do the update, or never play XBL again.
or of course for the rich folks buy a new system and the games you play online and only use the other console that is modded for offline back ups.

i guess i don't quite understand what you're trying to say
but anyways, i wonder if C4E will release a newer FW in light of the on coming updates just to work out a few small bugs that they might have in the stealthing, if they have any

I have a question, COULD these updates change your firmware- so that you cant play backups on it anymore? or is banning you on XBL the only thing it does? cuz I honestly am not into online gaming so i wouldnt mind at all if thats all it did

Well I'm gonna tell you now, come Sept 10 wether you wan't to believe it or not, Microsoft will be implementing an additional detection method for modders (they'll also be readying the xbox live servers for Halo 3's arival). The bans won't come until some time after the update, perhaps a week or so..or maybe a little bit after the Halo 3 release.

No one knows for sure unless they work for m$. If they did know then this wouldn't be an issue because they would be working on a way to stop it. Either way I'm satying on live and I'm updating as soon as its available. Whatever happens happens.
