what format is the file in? avi? well you will have to convert the file to dvd like vob, or if your standalone player will play dvix you could put this on cd, if not convert the file and put it on dvd, convertxtodvd will do the job for you, also is the torrent a hdtorrent, if not this forum is the wrong place to post this question, this is a forum for blu-ray forum.

Have you tried extracting them?
Use IZarc if you haven't got archiving software. Its free.

If i understand your question correctly, you are asking how to play the file you have on TV, with a DVD... So i'll answer that.
First, you have to Download a program that will encode your file, so it can be Burned to a dvd.
You said you said that it's an Xvid-tub... if you have the right type of dvd player on your computer, it will play it on your computer. There are TONS of different ways to Burn it to your dvd.. I personally use TOAST 8 TITANIUM..
You should GOOGLE "XVID to DVD" and it will come up with more then enough information to help you. So first do that, then get a program to encode your movie, and then burn it to a dvd.
hopefully this is what you were asking.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW... If you have a .RAR file... you first need to expand that file.... So GOOGLE RAR EXPANDER.. and get that free download.. once you expand your .rar file, you will have the "actual" file to play your dvd...

Its extract, not expand. I've already posted iZarc. Look just a few posts up...
