Ahhh this is driving me mad. I just cant decide whether to get a new slim PSP or get a old one.

Money is not a issue but homebrew is. I really wanna play old RPG psx games like xenogears FF7 and ISO's like Jeanne D'arc on my PSP which i know can only be done with Custom Firmaware with old PSP....

But on the other hand i think i could wait few months until somone releases a Custom Firmware hack for the Slim. Plus it has all those new features like quicker loading, tv out....

My concern is il be waiting untill next year for a hack...and thats if it does get hacked.

Old or new?

Old, then if the slim gets hacked, you could sell the old for only a little less than the slim (As you would have CFW on it, it's worth a little more anyway), so you wouldn't loose much money.

Just so everyone who isn't aware now is... Slim is hacked. You do need to make use of an already-hacked PSP 1000 though so that you can make a Pandora's battery and a properly formatted pro duo memory stick.

Will "Newbies" please stop posting in old threads that no-one reads, bringing them to the top again, just to say something everyone that would care about it already knows?

Don't mean to be offensive XD

You fail.

Also, on what time scale is 7 days old?

It varies, a slow going thread (like a post a day or two), old would be about 2 weeks without a new post.

If a thread has posts hours apart, then a couple of days without a new post is old. (IMO)

Listen, it's not a new thread on an existing subject, it's new information to an existing thread.

Most people subscribe to the threads they post to so Ajames123 would likely be informed of my post and (if he's not aware) of the recent news for Slim which might be a deciding factor for his purchase.

Lastly, it's only been a week, so he may not have purchased a PSP yet. If it had been a few months I could safely assume he bought a PSP already or decided he wasn't interested.

I've said my piece; I've either informed the original poster of this information or I haven't, feel free to carry on posting in the thread without me.
