samsung drive vs hitachi drive

hi i was windering what type of xbox 360 i should get, should i get a hitachi drive or a samsung, from what i heard the samsung is really easy to upgrade the ixtreme firmware and the hitachi i havent really heard anything abouut that, also i would like to play on XBOX live if that helps.

Well I've owned both samsung and hitachi and I would say by far a samsung as its safer to use online when modded and quite a bit quieter than the hitatchi.

Samsungs have always been the drive that get the newest firmware 1st and are a bit quiet as stated. I'd try to get a Samsung if possible. After Samsungs, 0078FK is the best Hitachi drive to get IMO.

Quick question isn't there like a slow read firmware for the hitachi ROM V. 0078fk drive?
