It's out there in PAL. How do you get it to display right for NTSC PS2's?

A while ago there was a thread about converting PAL PS2 games to NTSC with a simple program. You need the ripped image on your PC, then need to run the program and then burn the new image, which would require a modded PS2 to them play the game. I'm not positive of the thread but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

the program is called ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix.exe

I was wondering if anyone patched this, and what setting did you set the Y-Offset to? Is default fine?

PAL to NTSC is not perfect. It will be offcentered.

The program worked at the default value. It's off-center a little, but it doesn't matter because there are slight black bars on either side of the image, at least on my LCD in widescreen.

i'm having a hell of a time trying to burn this to disc. I've tried DVD decrypter and Nero, having tried to burn it as a nrg. file and a rebuilt iso. file, whenever I try Nero it always fails at the verification stage because there's too many errors. That's both the nrg & iso files. Help me, please!

Download WinRAR. Then just simply extract the files.

Hey, I'm new here and I got a certain problem with renaming the files to ".rar" at the very end of each one. They're all named "mhu2-dgr.<insert number here>. When I try to extract the .iso to the desktop, a message comes up saying this:

Quote:
You need to have the following volume to continue extraction:

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner.WILL\My Documents\My Games\Manhunt 2\Manhunt 2 [PS2DVD][PAL][English][www.newpct.com]\mhu2-dgr.001.r00
Now here's another thing. There's another file that's named just ONLY "mhu-dgr" with no number there. Now I look around to see if there's a missing file and I notice that "mhu-dgr.007" was missing. So I did rename it that, including the ".rar" at the end and nothing. Then I tried to rename it to "mhu2-dgr.001.r00" as WinRar reccomended to do in the message and nothing. I'm stuck here and don't know what to do. Can someone help me?

Looks like this

if the file is mhu-dgr.007 simply rename it to mhu-dgr.r07. ONLY rename files that are numbered. they're numbered for a reason.

Sorry if I'm really dumb toya, but I'm a little confused now. So, you're saying that the other ones that were numbered such as "mhu-dgr.001" and so one, I had to put ".rar" at the end right? But, what the heck was I supposed to do with the one file that was just ONLY named "mhu-dgr" I don't do anything at all?

This leaves me really confused because without that, I can't extract the '.iso'. And yeah, look at the pic I posted. Maybe you guys can help me, I guess, "visually" with my small problem.

I got a feeling I messed up. Gotta restart the whole thing again don't I?

Well for the ones that I had been extracted do not even need to rename, just open the winrar program first then open the file, not double click on the *.0x files, never think of renaming the files as it can do the work (and dont know if you have to rename all the files if you rename the extension).

Well just open the winrar program first, DO NOT OPEN FILE WITH WINRAR BY NOW, then go to open file and look for those *.001 or whatever, if it cannot be seen change the "file types" to "all files" . hope it helps as it is how I do for it and that works all the times
