Connecting Wii Without a USB WiFi Connector

Does anyone know if its possible to connect without a USB WiFi connector to the internet. I have a router (D-Link) and i have already connected to the internet (without a LAN Adapter) but if im connected how can i play games against someone in the world on Mario Strikers Charged. Internet sufing works but if i play wifi on MSC my cousin told me ill corrupt my game or system since i have a mod chip (wiikey) and my copy is a copyed game. Will it work without a usb thing? and isint the usb thing for getting internet if you dont have a router? If someone know the tinyest of information to help me please post it!

OMG your cousin dont know what he saying....Yes use your router to connect so you can play Striker online...No it wont mess up your game or system. I tried it already it works fine.......:)

How about playing games like.... How does a Nintendo DS connect to your wii and how does it play games? is it kind of like what gameboy advanced does to a gamecube? but its wireless how what do you need to buy to connect a DS to a Wii?
