Hello,

Slight issue with some new RAM that I bought, any insight is appreciated.

Old Ram-2x256mbDDR
New ram-1x512mbDDR

All the chips are 400MHz.

Now, the machine runs fine with the two old chips installed. When all three chips are in, the processor turns on but there is no input to the monitor.

When the new chip is in on its own, everything is fine. I have tried putting the chips in, in different configurations but this hasn't changed the situation. What else can could be causing this kind of problem? Is it just a matter of finding the right configuration? Is there something I have missed?

My computer isn't ancient either, couple years old AMD athlon 64 3200.

One problem after another with this, help!!!

Thanks.
