Hey folks, was thinking of getting my 360 modded (firmware or chip, haven't decided) but was wondering
1, which method would you say is the best in your experience?
2, What are the odds of you getting banned from live, say, if i only play online with original games and not back ups
Any help/advice greatly appreciated, thanks

Use the iXtreme firmware, and you won't be banned from Xbox live, backups or not.

not true at all. there is nothing that says if you use iextreme you wont be banned. its just 'suppose' to be 'safer' since it only boots properly stealth patched games. and if memory servers me correct, several people were banned with the extreme 1.0 FW when the initial bannings came out.

And is the extreme 1.0 Firmware the same as the iXtreme stealth firmware? No. As long as you are smart about it, and use the most up to date firmware, you will not be banned from Xbox live.
And it "IS" "safer." It's been proven.
When an update rolls around, it might beat the iXtreme firmware, but all you have to do is look around to see if there are bannings.
And as of now, it will not get you banned.
Time will tell if it stays that way.

Right, say i unplug the ethernet connection altogether when i'm playing a back up. that would minimize any risk surely? does anyone have the blaster 360? it looks good but i wanna get some opinions of people with first hand experience

i left outt he 'i' before the extreme, becuase i ment to type, 'iexteme 1.0' in my previous post, so yes it is the same as the iextreme becuase it is the iextreme.
and to bonson, i dont think that will minimize your risks, becuase most people think that the 360 stores the information about game disc types to the console itself and then uploads it to microsoft. this is becuase some people that only had highspeed internet at college left before the first update came back, and once they went back to school they found out they were banned.
