Hi...sorry if these questions are too basic, but I'm new to the PSP scene and really don't know much at all about firmware, and homebrews.
I want to buy a PSP Slim, and I'm wondering if it will be possible to play ISO backups, and run various emulators (mainly GBA)? Also want to be able to play PSX backups.
As far as I can tell from reading several topics, none of this stuff is possible right now...but do you guys think it will be in the future? I would just buy a fat PSP, but the TV Out of the Slim one is a really big selling point for me.
Thanks!

I have two questions about this custom firmware.
First :) Will it work on a asian psp (the white one)
Second, does the slim have any advantages in homebrew over the thick?
For example, will it play homebrew faster? Does it's hardware open more possible emulators (Such as Gamecube, PS2, N64:Fluently?)
Thanks :-)

I don't think the slim has any advantages in homebrew. But you never know since we haven't been able to try it out!

I think that homebrew games might run faster on the Slim because it has a vast increase of memory RAM (64megabyte compared to 8megabyte) to load UMD games faster, so i think that it was worth it

just picked up my slim today. I got cfw 3.6 m33 on it before I left the parking lot!
I can say that most the emulators dont work for it right now. The N64 one does, but until its coded to make use of the extra memory it will be just as slow (choppy) as the fat one.
But I bet it wont be long before people are jumping ship on coding for the phat one to make use of the extra ram on the slim. Thats why I bought it. I would not doubt that the N64 will run full speed with sound in 6 months or less!

Just out of curiosity, how did you get the cfw on the PSP Slim? I'm having no luck using the Pandora Battery method.
