Hi all,
I have been useing dvd shrink for some time now and never really had any problems, but I was just backing up some new dvds and was having some trouble backing up the new drunken master, it opened the disk but would not back it up, I kept trying and odly enough it just worked all of a sudden. but now I am tryin to back up stranger than fiction and it won't even read the disk when I click open disk. I have another program called aoa dvd copy wich I paid 40.00 for and it also won't recognise it and automatically shuts down, it also would not read drunken master, "shrink is way better than aoa", I was just wondering if this would have anything to do with newer copy rights or disk protection? the only other movie I have ever had trouble with is Initial D but I think that was because it was from japan. Also does anyone know if there are any better programs for just puting my movies onto my hdd, I use 750gb seagates, makes for easy traveling, but I would really like to know if there are any newer updates or programs that would take care of the newer disk protection. Thanks for your time
Also just thought I would add that the eror message when I click open disk for stranger than fiction reads "dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Programing error - exception occurred".
DVD Shrink's ripping engine is very out of date and I don't know anything about the other program you are using. I would suggest using DVDFab HD Decrypter to rip to your HDD first and then continue with DVD Shrink for compression as usual.
